Would you go to the gp for this?

I woke the other night with period type pains, didn’t last long but it felt like my ovaries were stuck to my bowel (I know that sounds really odd but it’s honestly how it felt). I’ve had mild period pain down one thigh during and after intercourse (only one instance). I’m mid cycle so don’t usually get any sort of pain around this time of the month.

It could be constipation

I was woken up by horrific pain that felt like labour/period pain a couple of months ago and it turned out to be constipation

If the pain has settled now I'm not sure I'd bother the GP but if it keeps returning or gets worse then you need to get checked out

Ovulation pain?

If it's unusual enough and bothering you enough that you're posting on Mumsnet then yes, go to your GP for some reassurance.

Thanks for the replies. It’s not constipation. I’ve never had ovulation pain before but I suppose it could be that. I’ll give it another week.
