Is it bad to buy fake iTunes

My husband has found some fake AirPods online for 23.99. They are a present for my nephew should I:
A: tell him the are fake
B: tell him the are real
C: not buy them
What do you think?

Do not buy them. You have no idea what they are made from. I guarantee they won't last long.

Your poor nephew may take them to an Apple store for help when they break and be so embarrassed when told they can't swap/fix because they are fake. Unless you tell him they are fake, which is a pretty uncomfortable conversation to have (I imagine).

C. They will probably be rubbish! There are fakes of everything but they aren’t going to work properly.

It’s better to buy him something cheaper that you know will work properly.

My kids have had skullcandy headphones for years now and they are still going strong.

Chances are he will know the difference with the switch, charging issues, plastic quality and sound etc.
