Do you interrupt a breastfeed to wind or leave it until baby has finished?

Baby is 3 weeks old and I've only been winding him for the past few days as he draws his legs up during a feed and makes some noises like he's in pain.
Would you stop bf to wind him when he does this or carry on until he's finished feeding before winding?

Hello, I tend to see what happens. My baby (11weeks) bobs her head at breast if windy so I take her off and wind her then try again. Often (especially at night) she falls asleep feeding, so then I don’t wake her I just gently pop her in her cot asleep. (Or sit and waste time cuddling her 😁). Very occasionally she will snuffle about and grunt and I usually wind her if that goes on for more than a minute as I dont want her to fully wake up with pain.
So I would be led by baby.
