Come and be rational with me over my bowel cancer fears...

I've had diarrhoea on and off for a few months, genuinely wasn't overly concerned, I fully admit I can be a little highly strung and eat a lot of frui/veg etc. It suddenly occurred to me last week I've not had a 'normal' bowel movement for a few weeks now. Added to this I'm now suffering with a constant feeling of pressure and the need to do a poo (sorry tmi!). I Googled and am now utterly terrified. I saw my gp this morning who has asked for a stool sample and blood tests. I have suffered with health anxiety in the past but after cbt I've had it well under control. It's spiralled this weekend though and I'm now nauseous, not eating and I guess the tummy won't be helped by anxiety! Can't re-see my gp for nearly a month so it feels like ages with this horrid worry.

I have diverticulitis which gives you diarrhea and nausea and no appetite. A few months is a bit long mind, but my longest bout lasted 5 weeks. Not saying it is that, just there's more things can make your bowels go haywire other can cancer Flowers
