21st Birthday Presents

What did you get for your DC for their 21st birthdays? Looking for inspiration for my DD. All ideas gratefully received!

My dd isn’t 21 yet, but for my own 21st I got a new guitar and a pair of new rock boots!

I hadn't realised people still see the 21st as anything other than just another birthday? When both my sons reached it, it was not treated any differently, nor do I remember any of their friends doing so.

When I was 21 I got a lovely necklace from my parents.

When my eldest was 21 we bought him a ticket to the Silverstone Grand Prix and a family BBQ. Second son is 21 next month and he's having a 'posh' watch and a meal out in London (he's at uni there).

My DD and friends seem to celebrate both 18th and 21st "equally"!

She can drive already, and has a car, so that isn't really an option.

Had a bracelet for her 18th, so trying to avoid jewellery.

She isn't really "into" anything, *Princess." Mainly interested in environmental issues, and I can't think of anything that really relates to that.

for my 21st i got a beautiful antique opal ring from my parents. i also got a tiffany necklace and a links of london bracelet. most of the girls i know all got jewellery for their 21st.

Sadly due to exh it ended up in a landfill!! Was truly gutted.

DS wanted a new pair of Doc Martens. He was surprised that 21 was considered to be a special birthday. We tried to make a fuss but he wasn’t having it.

For my 21st I was gifted a meal voucher and a bracelet from my parents, that was only last month, but I have moved out and I'm expecting, and my parents have been fab about buying me stuff throughout the year for the baby, so I think that was more than enough. I was more heartbroken about my partner and friends not bothering though(my partner took me for a meal but that was it) . I would suggest just make a day of it, perhaps a spa or going for a big family meal or something and then some smaller presents:) j would have much preferred that to lots of gifts I wouldn't use
