Hi hopefully I’m allowed to ask this my partners First day of LMP was 05/06/18 after which we continued to have regular sex most days however on the 22/23 June she had sex with someone else I’m asking because she is pregnant I’m just wondering who is more likely to be the father

What dates did you have sex between the 15th and 25th?

The other person is possibly the father so can’t definitively be ruled out. I am wondering if you can be ruled out.

The most likely timing for the father would be around the 18th to 20th but it really depends on the woman’s cycle and the 22nd/23rd is quite possible.

Forgot to add, I’m sorry you have to worry about this whether you want to be the father or don’t want to be the father. It’s a big thing.

Do you know how long yours partners cycles normally are. Average is 28 days but it varies from woman to woman. However I don't think you can know for sure either way without a DNA test.

It completely depends on how long her cycles are. If they’re standard 28 days, then it’s very unlikely to be the other man. If they’re longer, it’s possible.

You’re going to need a DNA test OP. It’s quite possibly youbut even if she’s usually 28 days, strange cycles do happen. One of mine is from a strange cycle timing and I’ve been 28 days like clockwork for 25 yrs.

It is not possible to say for sure when intercourse has occurred with more an one man within the same menstrual cycle and most definitely not possible that close (ie within the in vivo lifespan of sperm)

I agree with others. Its likely you as most cycles makes the fertile dats just before the other man. However it could be either, dna test definitly.
Has she mentioned whether she used any protection with other man?

It can't be ruled out that the other man Is the father. But she's 36 weeks pregnant, practically term. Are you really only raising this issue now?

Get a DNA test when the baby is born. Noone can give you an answer because either of you could be the father. There's too many variables.

^ Now I would be very suspicious. Definitely get a DNA test. The baby can measure bigger but not be due sooner. I had gestational diabetes in my pregnancies and never had any of my babies early because of GD. I reckon she is fudging her dates (and not sure who tge dad is). Due 3 weeks earlier would make her almost a month further along in her pregnancy. Is she stringing you along?

Candy, I would take that to mean that baby is being ‘evicted’ at 37w due to the GD.

Broadly against current NICE guidance depending on insulin control in GD but still commonplace.

I'm having my baby 4 weeks early due to GD so is entirely possible that that's the truth.

How long is her cycle normally? If it's 28 days conception is probably between 21 and 24th June, but if it's more like 30 days then it's more likely to be between 23 and 27 June so still possible but less likely. If it's 32 days, it's probably you.... How will she react to DNA test?
