Back to work tomorrow and I'm shitting myself

I'm back at work tomorrow after my mum died on the 3rd of January, Ive been off for over a month and I'm so nervous about it. Work have been very lovely, they sent flowers and a card so my colleagues must know what happened as they all signed it.

But I'm so worried- what if I've forgotten how to do my job? Will they all tell me 'I'm sorry' I can't take another 'I'm sorry'. How do I get through tomorrow ?

Oh mimbulus I am so sorry for the loss of your mum Flowers

I'm not sure what you can do tomorrow except steel yourself. People will pass on their sympathies - or may not know how to broach it so not say anything and just act like nothings happened - either is going to be tough. But the first day will absolutely be the hardest, and once you've got through it (which you will, somehow), it'll be easier. I hope there'll be at least one colleague, maybe your manager?, who'll just give you a hug and say take it easy. Don't expect too much from yourself, take time out in the loo if needed. Hopefully you'll have sympathetic colleagues around you. And if you really don't feel up to it I hope you can go to your boss and ask to go home if you need to.

Good luck, and wishing you strength Smile
