Have you been to the Algarve in October?

Sorry, I know there's a Travel topic but I can't find it!

Thinking of going to the Algarve in October half term but last time we did this (in 2008) the weather was rubbish! I've googled the weather for the last 5 years and it seems that we were unlucky last time, as it's been in the low to mid 20s for the past few years, but can any frequent October Agarve-goers reassure me please?! We don't want a heatwave, but regular daytime temperatures of 20 degrees or higher . Can't afford to go in the school summer holidays any more unfortunately.

I would’ve thought it would still be nice that time of year. We went in August towards the very end and it was unbearably hot, we couldn’t even go outdoors until evening!

Yeah I know @Realitea, so have we, that's why we so gutted when we went in October and it rained 5 days out of 7 and was only about 15 degrees....! Only warm enough to take jumpers and coats off on the first and last days.

I've been last few days in September/first few days of October and it was low twenties.

I went in early November, it was still warm & only rained once.

I went second week of October and it was perfect - sunny and warm all week.

Yes, I've been regularly in late September early October and it's been really hot,

We did and it was scorchio! ☀️

I have [3rd week on October] and it was hot, plenty of times spent sunbathing on the beaches.

I've been in the October holidays and it was gorgeous. Hot but not too hot

I have it was pleasant

I live in the Algarve and it really is a lottery at the end of October, it’s often cooler and showery, ironically November and December can be better.
