Did anyone sell their wedding dress? Best way?

Hi,

I'm looking at selling my wedding dress and wondering if anyone had success selling theirs?

Any tips on the best place to sell it?

How much did yours cost and how much did you get for it?

I've listed on eBay for £399 (cost £1250)...possibly optimistic but can lower price if it gets no interest.

I was looking at Still White but they charge a £17 upfront free.

Are Preloved still around?
I sold my wedding dress on there, very quickly.

Utterly ridiculous looking back but it cost £3400 and I sold it for £2800.

Are you sure you are not under pricing it?

Wow...that was a good price.

Looking on eBay it seems most similar dresses are listed for £265 ish so if anything it's overpriced.

Plus not cleaned so someone would need to have it professionally cleaned.

I'll take a look at Preloved!

I know I was very lucky to resell like that, the dress was a Jenny Packham that had just been released. I knew I could only have it if I resold iyswim, so it was on Preloved as soon as honeymoon was over and was still hard to find!

The lady that bought it was planning on selling it after her wedding, who knows how many women have worn it now, hope it gave them better luck in marriage than me Hmm!

I did pay for the dress to be professionally cleaned which cost £65 and there were no marks or rips. I can't remember clearly but I feel like Preloved charged me £25 upfront for the advert.

I advertised mine in a Newspaper. It was a looooong time ago.
A man phoned up about it and asked me to describe it in detail. ( Cringing ....)
Anyway I asked if it was for his daughter. No , he said, it is for a film....would you like to be in it !
Call ended . Dress unsold . Gave it to charity shop as “it was taking up too much room “
Sorry , no help to you OP !
