I've had a face time call this morning at 06.30am from a UK mobile number. Half asleep I didn't answer but then almost immediately thought 'what if it's someone in need' .. I called back twice, no answer 🤔 so I've now sent a text message asking who it is in a polite way. I don't recognise the number but I'm miffed who'd call at this time of the morning. Could be a child who's got hold of a phone but then would you reply and apologies- I know I would!

You're overthinking this OP. It was a misdialled number, the caller ended the call when they realised and has moved on. Suggest you do the same, and mute your phone overnight.

My phone is muted until 6am (should be later I guess at the weekend).. Sorry I don't think I am overthinking I'd be mortified if I'd miss dialled someone at that time in the morning especially at the weekend!

Have you googled the number? I've found recently I've had cold calls from a mobile number rather than a landline! Could be a company?

Googling came up with nothing but I did find someone on what's app. Still no reply 💁‍♀️ I'm going with the fact it's a child calling random numbers.

So they called a number by mistake, once.

You have called back several times and texted, posted on a forum etc.

Wow. It’s a number you don’t recognise, so a total stranger - I’d let it go.
