iPhone 6 battery life now less than 12 hours

I know there is a huge effort regarding throwing away /recycle/re-use.

My iPhone 6 used to belong to DD , it got gifted to me . I am happy enough , it does the job, but the battery life is now rubbish. (It used to be brilliant when I got it)

For example - fully charged , it was down to 4% by lunch time , I hadn't used it , had to plug it into the portable charger to make a call.

Then , from full charge it went to 52% just from clearing some emails Hmm

So, it isn't safe if I rely on it . I need to carry my charger pack and cable ( like carrying a spare phone size-wise)
The phone has the minimal functions open (I don't use wifi , internet , don't text much or take many photos. I do have HandsFree)

Its the battery , no point buying a new one , I don't really want a new phone . I can keep charging though its a pain in the arse
But this is going to be a problem for 1000s of people, practically everyone has an iPhone now . What will happen to them all when the batteries go?

Apple just had an action where they replaced the battery for £25 in iPhone 6 and above. I changed mine and the new battery is great. Think they have stopped doing it now for £25 now.

Oh, that's an idea , I;ll have a search on Apple (though they'll probably convince me I need the iPhone X ) .... I don't . DD says I can barely work the 6 .

Mine was awful so I got the battery replaced and it’s brillisnt now.

It's £45 to replace a battery with Apple now.

It was £25 before end of the year.
I made my dad replace his 6s battery and it's working amazingly now

I would book an appointment and pay the £45 if you don't want to change your phone and you're going to be keeping it .... carrying round a phone charger isn't ideal x

£45 sounds ok.
The charger+ cable is a pain, TBH.

I had the battery changed on my iPhone 6 and it’s been fine after that, though I now just use it as an iPod since I got the XR in November. If you do want to change your phone I’d recommend the XR, it’s actually easier to use than the 6, especially with the larger screen, and the battery is great - I rarely have less than 85% left at the end of the day and it charges really quickly.

If you don’t like the charger and cable, get the XR and a wireless charger - you just put it on the cradle, easy to put on and take off. This is mine in my Logitech charger on the bedside table.

Just get a new battery put in. It's a simple process. Costs £30 where I live.

Thanks

I'm going to get it a new battery (and save all the data beforehand) !.

There's a couple of Apple stores near(ish)
