Am I being silly

So writing this I already know the answer but think I'm trying to convince myself otherwise.
I've been seeing a guy for 2 months now we both have children from previous relationships. He comes over when my children are with their dad and I make dinner and provided wine. I've been doing this for 2 months at my home which after a while the cost adds up. I've been to his home once for coffee but my home is just more comfortable for us to have dinners etc. The problem I have is that he never offers to bring food or drinks and I end up paying for everything!. I know I'm being a total fool and I'm already resenting him for this. I don't want to be wined and dined but just a little gesture of a bottle of wine or offer to wash up or bring some flowers would make it seem better. How do I bring this up this in conversation?? Do you think he's aware of what he is doing, I would never show up to someone's home who's cooking me dinner empty handed!. Help!!

It could be he is thoughtless and didn't intend to sponge or that he is too cheap - either way it isn't attractive. Why don't you tell him you are skint and he either needs to bring a takeaway or cook for you next time. If he bails then I would bail on the relationship.

That’s not silly at all ! I have been with my fiancé for 5 years now and I still to this day have to remind him (possibly not on the best way haha) to buy me flowers once in a while or at least show me he appreciates me from time to time ! Usually when I’m fed up or having a crappy day I’ll just say why do you never do this or that and he either ignores me and goes out and does it or say “I don’t need telling” and he’ll still do it after some time so I looks like it’s his idea haha but all in all I think it’s just men chick us women are better at the little things in life x
