Hi! I’ve literally just joined to ask for help/advice/opinions.. I’m 23 & I gave birth to my first child just over 5 months ago, my periods before pregnancy were pretty standard, heavy ish & uncomfortable. I had my first period 6 weeks after giving birth & it felt & looked the same as before but then I didn’t bleed again until 4 months after I had given birth. Now it’s completely different to what I know, gonna go into a bit of detail (ew sorry) when I used to pee the water would turn red with the blood & now my pee is completely clear just with little red blobs that sink to the bottom of the pan? And it’s only when I wipe that there is actual blood & I barely cover a sanitary towel now. Should mention that this bleeding always starts on the day or the day after I have tried to exercise, so sometimes I could have this bleed for a week & then it’ll happen again within a week because I exercised. Could something be wrong because of this? I so badly want to get rid of my mum tum but every time I try I bleed & then I don’t know whether to continue through it or stop because I’m hurting myself? I thought I would ask opinions before GP because sometimes they can be no help whatsoever! Is it normal to have two periods each month or is this not sounding like period bleeding? TIA & sorry for the TMI x

If you have only had one normal period after having DC but basically just a bit of spotting since I would think about getting a pregnancy test.
Did you have stitches at the birth? I am assuming it was a vaginal birth rather than a C Section. Perhaps your stitches area need to be looked at. I would be having an appointment with the nicest female Dr. at my surgery to discuss this.

I have taken a pregnancy test & it came back negative, that’s what I was worried about at first! Yes I did have stitches, perhaps that’s the case then. I’ll ring my GP Monday, thank you!

I second having a Drs appointment just so she can check your stomach and do any tests. Aside from that, it might take your body some time to settle down.
