Do you still have days where you cry all day/days where you want to sleep all day?
Or do I need a stronger dose/something different?

I've been on 20mg citalopram for several years and they have never made me a zombie. I can still feel and get upset, and cry but I don't have the awful black cloud surrounding me that I have without them. I tried to come off them last year over about 6 months and ended up crying every day and feeling really really miserable.

No-one can really say whether you need anything different as everyone experiences different results from different brands!! How long have you been on them for? If I remember correctly it took about 3 weeks for me to start noticing a difference. And another couple of month for everything to stabilise. But I also did a lot of self exploration about why I felt the way I did and made changes to my lifestyle, diet etc. So now I can recognise triggers that make me feel unhappy and work on them or accept I'm going to feel rubbish for a couple of days and work round that.
