Old laptops

Second post in as many minutes!

I'm moving house and realise I have 2 old laptops that I don't think even work anymore. They've been through about 5 moves over the years and I never do anything with them. What do I do? Throw them out? How do I destroy what's on there ? I can't turn them on.

I open the case either with a screwdriver or by putting them on a hard surface and stamping on them, then take the hard drive out which is a silver rectangle about 2.5" wide and snap it with my hands. Then stick it in the bin
