Carrying liquids in hand luggage

Do the containers need to fit into one plastic bag or separate ones?
I've just read it's one bag per person but I'm sure I gad more last time I flew.
There's no way one 20x20 cm bag will do me Confused

You're only allowed one plastic bag, to stop you from bringing more than a litre of liquids.

CMOTDibbler · 09/02/2019 09:21

One small, clear bag of 1L capacity, no one container to be able to hold more than 100ml.

Soontobe60 · 09/02/2019 09:22

I'm guessing that you only have carry on bags? Don't take anything that you can buy at your destination, of the things you do take, buy travel sized or decant into 100ml bottles.
What exactly are you wanting to take?

TheyGotMyName · 09/02/2019 09:23

I used to always feel a clear bag wasn't enough but you'll be surprised. What exactly do you need to take? Can you buy stuff at your destination...

TheCrowFromBelow · 09/02/2019 09:24

It’s no more than 10 items that are up to 100ml, and one 20x20 bag per person.

Where are you flying from and how long for? Most big airports have a boots after security and you can buy shampoo, sun lotion etc there.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 09/02/2019 09:24

You are limited as to what you can take through security in hand luggage, not what you actually take on the plane. You can buy as many miniatures as you like once airside, but you won't be able to bring them back with you.

You're right Theygotmyname, everything will fit into 2 bags.
I don't like using the hotel shower gel etc because I get allergic reactions /migraines with some stuff and don't want to take the chance.

If you're just going overnight you can just shower with water if you don't want to risk unknown shower gel. Or seriously streamline your make up? Or buy what you can't fit in your bag after security and leave it behind but that's quite wasteful, although the cleaner might take it.

dementedpixie · 09/02/2019 13:28

Eyeshadow/ powders don't need to go on the clear bag, just liquids, gels and pastes. It's 1 bag per person. 20x20cm max

Cocolepew · 09/02/2019 13:46

Dh is going so we can have 2 bags, I've fitted everything in Smile
