It’s really blowing a storm out there.

Anyone else feel like their windows are about to blow in?! So windy here in NI.
Lovely to be snuggled in bed with a hot water bottle listening to the rain, but the gusts are scary!

Same again tonight, I think it's nearly worse, there will be damage done I think. I'm stuck on the sofa with a broken knee and it sounds bad out there (also NI)

dinkydolphin · 09/02/2019 00:03

Yes!! I'm in Belfast. Snuggled up after a Chinese and ready for sleep. Stay safe and warm x

Venetia11 · 09/02/2019 00:08

Yes! Glad the children's rooms are at the back of the house and a bit more sheltered.

Kintan · 09/02/2019 00:09

It’s been really windy all day here (London), but it seems to have died down now.
There’s nothing like snuggling in bed and listening to a storm though :)

Bumble1830 · 09/02/2019 00:10

It really is windy, I hate the wind, it botheres me that you can't see it. Give me a thunder storm any time.

angelinterceptor · 09/02/2019 00:10

Also in NI - waiting for my DD to get home so I can go to bed.
It's so wet and windy - love listening to it while I'm tucked up for the night.

peachgreen · 09/02/2019 00:11

I'm in NI too and we've just got the power cut kit ready! Sad

housewifeoflittleitaly · 09/02/2019 00:11

In mid ulster area it’s so bad! I can’t sleep, usually love listening to it. Kids woke up crying so they jumped in with us.

angelinterceptor · 09/02/2019 00:18

And need it to calm down a bit so I can take the dog out for a pee

QuestionableMouse · 09/02/2019 00:20

I'm in Country Durham and it's wild here. Creeping me out a bit because my house is very rural and there's not much shelter.

Defender90 · 09/02/2019 00:24

Yep SW Scotland and I'm due ripping the flappy plastic air brick replacement thing out the wall.

Give me back my airbrick.

Venetia11 · 09/02/2019 00:35

Dog has very uncharacteristically come upstairs. Too noisy for her.

halfwitpicker · 09/02/2019 00:38

Windy here across the pond too. I've also got a hot water bottle🍷

Wendywoo1000 · 09/02/2019 06:52

Blowing a right hooley! Woke up at 6:15 and went out to check where my recycling bin was, and surprised to see it was still upright!

StealthPolarBear · 09/02/2019 06:57

Qm I'm also in Durham and it's not too bad here. You must be very exposed. Hope everything is OK. Power cuts in teesside but not sure if it's related to the weather.

Rowgtfc72 · 09/02/2019 07:03

East coast here. It's currently trying to rip my lean to off the house.

CuriousMama · 09/02/2019 07:06

County Durham here too. I can't hear it but dh said there was a lot of branches on the roads on his way to work. And like you say bad in Teesside.

Dowser · 09/02/2019 12:41

Enforced ‘ holiday’ in N Yorks at our caravan as our boiler is in bits at home ☹️
It’s wild , been wet and sunny
Going down into york...I hope.
Hope there’s no trees on the road.

CuriousMama · 09/02/2019 14:15

Am sure you'll be fine in lovely York Dowser Smile.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 09/02/2019 14:18

Cumbria is the same - crazy wind and loads of rain

StealthPolarBear · 09/02/2019 14:58

She might be closer to teesside than to york!

Dowser · 10/02/2019 00:12

No, only 20 mins from York
We didn’t set out till after 2 and by then it was fine
Nice and sunny, wind quite calm.
