Bored and home alone on a Friday eve, and am watching The Incredible Human Journey. I want to be Alice Roberts. So knowledgeable and she gets to go all over the world and do interesting things.

So. Go on then, who would you be, and why?

OP posts:

April Ludgate

Kevin Mccloud! I just love him... I love his style and I'm very nosy to see inside other peoples houses.

Jsmith99 · 08/02/2019 23:24

Clare Balding. She gets to go to travel the world going to all the top sporting events. My idea of heaven.

allnewredfairy · 08/02/2019 23:24

I'd be Lorraine Kelly. I'd do 90 minutes work a day and get loads of Wayfair freebies.

Weezol · 08/02/2019 23:30

I would like to be Mary Beard when I grow up.

BartonHollow · 08/02/2019 23:35

Willoughby - primarily because she earns a hell of a lot of money, for bare minimum actual "work"

ChesterGreySideboard · 08/02/2019 23:37

DH is in love with Alice Roberts. I’d like to be her or Lucy Worsley.
Or may be Ben Fogle.

ImFineThankYouSusan · 08/02/2019 23:38

Oh oops. Misread the topic!

PrettyAmazingGrace · 08/02/2019 23:48

Oh OP, you beat me to it! I love Alice Roberts too. I first saw her in a free water swimming documentary. She's excellent in everything I've seen her in.

ElizabethofYork1 · 08/02/2019 23:56

Dolly Rawlins from Widows.

BoswellsBollocks · 08/02/2019 23:56

Alex Jones from the One show. She’s so gorgeous and likeable.

TheSunnySide · 08/02/2019 23:58

miriam margolyes

KissingInTheRain · 09/02/2019 00:06

Rachel Riley.

If I could have her looks, brains and - totally reasonable - outspokenness I’d be made up.

Cow.

I loved the series Widows with Ann Mitchell(Cora in Eastenders)

Kevin Mcloud

I'd love to be Emma Willis, I think she is amazing but I don't fancy Matt so maybe I'll have to have a rethink.

Insomnibrat · 09/02/2019 02:43

Guy Martin

PepperSteak · 09/02/2019 07:36

Ferne McCann. I’d love to have a career out of having a baby.

Weezol · 09/02/2019 08:10

miriam margolyes good call, she really doesn't give a toss what other people think of her.

BigGreenOlives · 09/02/2019 08:14

Emily Maitlis.

Or Jeremy Clarkson (lots of money, fancy cars, working with my friends) without the infidelity and bad temper.

HerondaleDucks · 09/02/2019 08:18

When I was little I wanted to be Jill Dando. Was cut up when she was killed.
I still... would quite like to have been her tv personality though.

scaredofthecity · 09/02/2019 08:21

I've been watching that too, she really is very good. It's a shame she's not on telly more often, I've only seen her in a few things.

I think I'd be Brian Cox, he really has been everywhere and seen some amazing things. Plus I really want to do a zero g flight!

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 09/02/2019 08:22

Jane McDonald. Her whole life is a holiday!

derxa · 09/02/2019 08:38

Willoughby - primarily because she earns a hell of a lot of money, for bare minimum actual "work" Yes I'd love to be able to earn a lot by crying over puppies on TV. she probably does work very hard to maintain that personna tbf

ElizabethofYork1 · 09/02/2019 08:47

@going it was brilliant. I know she's more a tv character but I felt her worthy of a mention.
