Cubs / Scouts in Edgware or Stanmore

Hi

I'm looking for some Cubs or Scouts recommendations in Edgware or Stanmore area.

DS is 5 and my understanding is that he can join Cubs at the age of 6. Is this correct or can he join now?

Is there much of a difference between various branches?

Beaver Scouts are traditionally from 6 - 8 yrs, yes you are right, but there are circumstances where they can start from 5 and 3/4. If a group is full though, they are more likely to stick to the 6 yrs. Some groups then take in termly, or 1/2 termly so they might not start on their 6th birthday. Just depends on the group and what vacancies they have.
