Fluid on the knee. Help!

Woke up today with a sore knee.
It's now filled with fluid on the right hand side and is hurting.
Any ideas how I can get it back to normal?
I have a 13 hour shift tomorrow 😩

My DH had to get his drained in hospital but yours maybe less serious.
Are you sure it's fluid on the knee or is it just swollen?

It feels spongy

Can you put weight on it at all.
I would probably suggest going to A&E. As it could be many things and hopefully not fluid.

I had that and it turned out to be something called “housemaids knee” . If I recall it took a while to go down and stop being sore but it stopped really hurting (so I could still walk around etc) after the first day. Actually I think walking helped a bit, what I had to avoid was kneeling on it as that’s what caused it in the first place). Obviously still see a doctor (I went to the go) but don’t panic :)
