To have my child's book published?

Hi my dd is 6 and has wrote and illustrated a book. I was wondering if anyone knew of a company that publishes books? Just to turn her own story into a book. I only want one copy for us at home. I have googled but it keeps coming up with American sites or photo books.

Could you go to a print/copy shop and ask about printing and binding? They’d be able to help with layout too.

Google vanity publishing. Plenty of places do that. It's a lovely idea for a child. (get 2 and one for grandparents)

Check out Blurb for a range of options

Great! Thank you very much for the replies! Will look into the options! It's her birthday in a few months so will wrap it up too (great idea for the grandparents too!)

Print it as a photo book

Try looking at printing companies. I wrote my nephew a book and got it printed up by a company called Inky Little Fingers. You could also try the likes of Vistaprint, Instantprint, etc.

If you've got Publisher (or sim) you can typeset it properly. I was just really careful to do my best with Word, then turned it into a pdf to send to ILF. It turned out rather well!
