This is just an idea/dream at the moment, and I'm hoping wise mumsnetters can help me decide whether to leave it as just that or go for it. We currently live in NW England, family of 4, 2 young children (5 and 3). Has anyone made a similar move? Were you made welcome, kids especially - I'd feel endlessly guilty if they were miserable as they're both happy where they currently are (naice area, suburban, I've got itchy feet!). If you have teenagers do they hate it now? I know it's a massive area but we can be fairly flexible on location, ideally we'd be at least semi rural I think. Have a decent budget of max £450K but would probably have to include granny accommodation in that.
