Mamas and papas delivery problems

Posting here as I've got no idea what topic is best.

New pram delivered on Tuesday. We have paid well over 1000 and put it together on Wednesday.
Can't all be put together as two parts are missing, one of which is the hood.

I've spoken to mamas and papas online chat (which isn't the quickest and has taken days on end to get this far already).

Pram was delivered by yodel. They say we have signed for 3 boxes. I was here when they arrived but didn't get up to go to the door, my partner took them in at the door and there were definitely only 2.

Apparently both items missing were in the 3rd package not received. They have got in touch again this morning to tell us they have asked yodel to do a driver interview. I've got another few weeks before baby is here but I'm Hmm about how slowly they seem to be sorting this out.

Has anybody had similar with M&P?

What am I best doing if the driver is interviewed and there's no luck then? Trading standards? Watch dog? I should have just collected from the shop.

Your contract is with M&P. Therefore they should - regardless as to the outcome of the interview- be sending the necessary parts.

I would send a letter to the manager (name may be online?) a letter saying it is a ‘Formal complaint’ and say that they are legally obliged to meet their side of the contract without delay.

Give them a deadline of 7 working days and that if they fail to acknowledge their error you will be escalating it.

If you paid by credit card, call the cc company and ask their advice as you’ll be protected. I think under the Long distance selling regulations you may also be protected but I’m not 100% certain.

In the interim while you wait for their response, ask CAB maybe? There may be info on Martin Lewis’s moneysavingexpert website too.
