Who should've got up first?

Please help me settle a debate with DH!
He's currently between contracts so hasn't been to work this week. He's doing paperwork, DIY xbox that kind of thing.
I got up with DS Monday morning at 0645. DH stayed in bed. I then worked Tues/Wed/Thurs leaving the house before DH and DS were up (10 hour days in a reasonable active job). This morning DH expects me to get up with DS as he's done the last 3 mornings with him. I refused as I've been up at the crack of dawn every other morning this week and am shattered. I'm not brave enough for AIBU but was I?

Of course he should! I can’t believe he honestly thinks it’s your turn! He’s having a laugh, surely.

He should have!

MadeForThis · 08/02/2019 11:31

He should have. Only way I would think it should be you is if he was up with night wakenings too.

Hiphopopotamous · 08/02/2019 11:33

One each - when our DC used to wake early we would each take Saturday or Sunday to give the other a lie in.

BifsWif · 08/02/2019 11:33

He should have.

BlondeViking · 08/02/2019 11:33

Course it should be him, you haven't had a lie in this week while he had one Monday and Tues, Wed, Thurs

Definitelysometime · 08/02/2019 11:33

How old is DS? If he's been at school all day while DH has done admin / x box then YADNBU. If he's younger, and DH has done all childcare when you've been at work, then it's trickier as you've both been working hard .

Bluntness100 · 08/02/2019 11:35

Odd, when a stay at home mum asks this, the responses are always the working parent should have because child care is such hard work.

How old is your child?

AmberEars · 08/02/2019 12:04

Bluntness, see the post above yours!

Chickenvindasaag · 08/02/2019 13:21

He's 3, and has been at preschool while DH has been at home
