car insurance - with ability to add an occasional under 25 driver

I need to get new car insurance - and if I get a quote with my details its about £300 .

However I need to add DS as an occasional driver when hes home from uni and on checking with the best price insure they don't allow under 25s.

Is there an easy way of finding out and getting quotes from the insueres that might allow him?

I would be interested in this. My insurer won't allow me to add DS (19) to mine when he comes home from Uni in the hols.

I insure him through Marmalade on his own temporary policy but it's not cheap.

I use Direct Line. I've just added 20 year old DS2 onto it for 3 weeks costing nineteen pounds, sorry keyboard won't switch to numbers!

I can make a certain number of temporary changes in a year.

In case anyone thinks how did she type DS2 and 20 it is a sporadic problem with my ancient iPad
