Liverpool recommendations

Very excited - We are attending a wedding next June and Ive never been to Liverpool. Wanted to make a long weekend out of it.

My baby will be 2 years old (+ 1month) by then.

They're getting married at the town hall and then reception at ohme oh my.

Any recommendations on where to go, what to do and any hacks of traveling and staying over with a toddler? I've not traveled with him yet! Any toddler friendly places etc?

Liverpool is great. The Docks are fun, lots of museums, the safari park (take your own food though as it's a bit 1980's).

If you book a hotel as for a room with a lobby area, an L shape room or a large closet as you can then pop the travel cot in one of these spaces so as not to have to hide from the baby to get them to sleep in my experience.

Liverpool is great for people watching. Go for brunch on Sunday at the Albert docks and check out all the ladies in full length dresses and fancy hair - amazing.

Love Liverpool! So much to do. No idea about what to do with a toddler though!

There is a play place called Imagine That on the wavertree technology park which is really good and on the way in/out assuming you’re coming in on the M62. Loads of museums too if that’s what you’re into. There’s a dinosaur floor in the museum that’s next to St. George’s hall, sorry can’t temember the exact name.
There’s also a big wheel like the London eye at the docks which I’ve taken my two on and they loved it.
The Anglican cathedral is well worth a visit if you’ve never been before.

The World Museum is good too. There is a great aquarium in there. The Central Library is beautiful and has lots of activities for children.

Recommend this company to book an air b and b with. They as far as I know, only offer Liverpool and loads of their places are really central.

The aquarium and bug house in the World Museum are good for small children. You could also take him on the ferry so you get to see a bit of Liverpool too.

The town hall and Oh Me Oh My are gorgeous venues for the wedding and reception.

Definitely imagine that for your 2 year old. And the big wheel on the docks. Possibly catch the ferry across the Mersey or take an open top bus tour?
