Best friends bday

My best friend has a big birthday coming up. I'm trying to think of something nice to do.. I'm pregnant and I'm sure she won't want to do anything that involves a lot of drinking by herself.

Any ideas?

afternoon tea or dinner out somewhere extra nice?

Is it for just the two of you? Some suggestions:

Day out to nearby city by train and go for nice lunch, shopping, museums, nails done etc

Go to a spa type hotel for a day and night of pampering and chilling and nice food

Nice brunch and then off to a zoo or safari park

See if any artists you both like are paying live nearby and get tickets or get tickets for a theatre show you’d both like

Afternoon tea or weekend away?

Check your local Groupon or similar (I often use Itison, I’m in Scotland though so don’t know where else it applies) as they often have great deals on things like afternoon tea and spas.
