I have my smear test tomorrow, but I'm bleeding. What should I do?

It's not a period, I had an implant fitted a few weeks ago and I'm still bleeding from my body getting used to it My smear is tomorrow, is it still okay to get it done? I just googled and it says it's best to go in the middle of your cycle and not on your period as you might not get enough cells taken.

You should reschedule. They won't do a smear if you're bleeding.

I wasn't allowed my smear when I was bleeding - ring and see what they would like you to do?

Thanks, I rang the doctors and they said I should cancel it and rebook when I can. I'll just have to put 'Book smear' several times on my calendar over the next few weeks/months so I won't forget to do it!
