posting here for traffic - though have noticed another similar thread which is now making me even more worried...

my 13yo dd has been suffering with anxiety and depression for a number of years. to be honest, I don't know how long because she is extremely adept at hiding how she is.

the latest instance : she's just been off school for a few days, with what i thought was a viral infection.( she was complaining about headaches, and taking the medicine i offered her to help). i now think she has been lying and wanted a break from school, because she is really struggling with her mental health. she is seeing a therapist privately (second time round - she requested it a few weeks ago).

i'm posting because i suspect she has started to self harm again. i asked her directly about it a few weeks ago, and she told me she wasn't.

what do i do? do i confront her with her lies? should i check to see whether she is being honest with her therapist?
