16MO not walking yet- should I be worried?

DS is 16MO and is not yet walking independently. Should I be worried, or doesn't anyone have any words of wisdom for what I can do to encourage him? He has been crawling since 10 months, will happily walk all over the house with a walker or holding two hands, can climb the stairs at the speed of light and cruises against everything. As soon as he is encouraged to go it alone he plops down the floor and gets upset.

I used to get nct mums saying ‘is ds walking yet’, head tilt. No he is fucking not, as you know. But he is starting to talk. So fuck off.

Dd was late with all her gross motor skills and she didn't walk until she was 22 months. I used to worry so much but she's absolutely fine now. Ds seems to be the same, 10 months and still topples over sometimes when he's sitting and not even close to crawling.

Honestly don't worry, they all get there in the end.

I thought the advice was absolutely no walkers. Crawling is a major developmental stage so as much crawling as possible is best. I would completehly get rid of the walker.
