My lovely dad is retiring next week and I wanted to get him a gift, but what do you get someone who has everything??

He likes cooking and gardening, so thought maybe a nice book? Any suggestions appreciated!

A ticket to something like the cricket, which he can go to in the day, not having been able to while he was at work ?

If you have siblings to chip in, what about membership to the National Trust or English Heritage (or for whichever Country he lives in) ?

Or maybe a ticket to a lovely garden (might be NT or something else) near to you? Or make a voucher / card / ticket saying you will take him out for the day to that garden when it gets warmer ?

Or garden centre vouchers ?

Or an afternoon tea - quite often the cafes in garden centres, or in Botanical Gardens have nice tea rooms (or again, a 'promise note) that you will take him to one in the Summer.
