What can I do in a church hall for a kids party?

DS will be 7 in the spring. He wants a party games type thing in our tiny house with 11 children. I want to go to the cinema with 3 children.
If I hired a small church hall then that could work but what can we do? I'm no kids entertainer and I don't really want to pay out £150 for one.

Has anyone got any good ideas about crafts/games/things to entertain a gaggle of kids for an hour or so?

Make slime? Decorate and eat biscuits. lots of music and food.

go for old school games like pin the tail on the donkey, pass the parcel, egg and spoon races (short ones) make some home made play dough (google the recipe is easy to make) have board games in one corner , a painting crafts table, face painting balloons passed between the kids , musical chairs

Definitely crafts.

Musical islands / chairs / statues

Pass the parcel

My children all loved this kind of party and they don't happen as often as they did in the past so everyone else seemed to have a good time too.

I used to hire a hall & a bouncy castle for DS birthday always went down well & tired them out!

A cupcake or biscuit decorating table is usually a good one, potentially a bit sticky but it's food and an activity all in one.
