Knitters - can someone answer a quick question please?!

I'm just starting a project - a snood. It says Rows 1 a 60: slip 1, knit to the end of the row.
Does this mean I only slip the first stitch on rows 1 and 60 or 1 to 60?
Thanks

You slip the first stitch purlwise on every row.
It gives a nice neat edge

Yes, slip 1st stitch of each row purlwise to keep the edges neat.
