What age would you leave a child at home alone?

Just wondering really.

Not speaking aboutong periods of time at all maybe just 10 minutes here and there to run an errand etc.

I've done it since about 9 gradually increasing in time as they have got older.

9 for when I’m just popping to the corner shop. He absolutely loves it.

9 here too, but it's totally dependent on the child's level of maturity and how they feel about it so there is no correct age. Plus mine knows all our neighbours, half of them are his friends parents and he has grandparents 5 minutes away and I know for a fact he won't move off his xbox.

Maybe about 9 . My daughters nearly 8 and not quite ready but could be in a year or so .
