Hysteroscopy/cool insertion

WanderingTrolley1 · 06/02/2019 09:32

Having one in a couple hours and very nervous.

Probable polys or fibroids (as indicated by scan), so probably removal too. Also considering having coil put in at same time.

Does anyone have any experiences (good or bad) of any of this?

Many thanks.

Coil insertion, rather.

I had a hysteroscopy a few years ago. Absolutely fine and virtually no pain afterwards. I had a polyp removed. It was under light G.A and i went home a few hours later.

It’s not under GA. Apparently the procedure is only short.

Ended up with post-procedure womb infection, which Dr at hospital informed me is quite common!

Never was I told this previously! Not happy and stiff suffering 2 weeks later!
