I’ve lived in London my entire life yet my brain can’t work out the best route

Northern line to Leicester Square for m&m shop.
Walk to Hamlets
Oxford Circus tube, Victoria line to kings X
Back to Waterloo.

Go to HP at Kings Cross first, and you won't need to bother going to the other places as you will have no money left

Just to add some fun into the mix, I need to throw The London Eye into the mix! Would Hamleys have any HP stuff too save going to Kings X aswell?

Skip Kings Cross, the basement of Hamleys is mostly given over to a huge HP shop. The Eye is close to Waterloo, so go either as soon as you get there or just before you get back on the train — no idea about waiting times, how long a revolution takes, though.

We went when we had Merlin or was Tussaud passes...

Assuming you're coming into Waterloo by train, the London Eye is on the 2 for 1 with rail travel offers. Don't know if that helps?
