My BIL had the hysterics and cried tears of laughter when I told my Dsis about minky soak ups. As a result I sometimes buy him a pack on his birthday so I can invoke some mirth from him.

Probably not the hobbycraft thing then... never heard of any other kind of minky - I have been educated this evening!

I got 2 before xmas, they're not that great to be honest! I bought them from minkys website.

I've also only ever heard minky as a type of material, sort of fleecy with raised dots.

If Mrs hinch says you need one, I'm pretty sure I don't.
