Want to eat more healthy but also wanted a crisp sandwich

Even as I was getting it I said to myself 'but you wanted to eat healthy'
And then I had some chocolate.

Crisps and coleslaw on a roll is the far superior option obviously but a crisp sandwich does if the above is unavailable.

The bread did have seeds in Wink
Not ideal obviously, white is best. Never tried the coleslaw (healthy?) option

Not had one in ages, but I used to have crisp sandwiches occasionally. The only one I'd eat is Walkers cheese and onion, on nice fresh buttered white bread.

They don't do them in England I don't think but if you ever visit Scotland get some well fired morning rolls (best eaten fresh that day so they don't soften, but freeze really well) they are the most exquisite rolls ever invented!

A well fired roll with crisps and coleslaw is so lovely you almost faint from the pleasure it induces Grin

I really want a crisp sandwich. Even better one with coleslaw or tuna mayonnaise 🤤 this is the first time I haven't been feeling the effects of morning 24 hour sickness for a few days and I can't get beef crisps here which are my preference, I really need to check Amazon, so I just went downstairs for a nice chunk of cheese while the thought of it didn't turn me green 🤢🤣

The US. Apparently they tried meat flavoured crisps years ago and they weren't popular so they stopped. The closest I can get is BBQ or sometimes things with bacon in. Not sure if it's just this state or the whole country but it's amazing what you miss when you can't have something.

Quite fancy a packet of Walkers Worcester Sauce Crisps right now.

Yum tandoori flavoured crisps, remember eating those during school mid-morning break time.

A 'Mccoys Cheese and Onion' crisp sandwich - thats gonna be my lunch today.

NeverHadANickname I know how you feel as I can't get cheese n onion flavour here in Sweden and certainly never any meat flavours at all. There's BBQ but it doesn't actually taste of BBQ.

I've never liked crisp sandwiches because of the extremes in texture. Are you supposed to lay them on as they are or crush them up a lot first?

@GrumpyOldMare Thats something I've never tried, do you use smooth or crunchy? Must admit, I like a peanut butter sandwich to be peanut butter sandwich! Crunchy! Followed by a pack of crisps. Grin

Hows about a hula hoops sandwich? A beef flavoured Hula Hoops sandwich? My fave hula hoops are the original (red pack) but not sure they would make a good sandwich?

Has anyone tried a marge and mayonnaise sandwich? They're LUSH and you could add crisps for extra lushness.

I love a walkers cheese and onion on white bread.
I lay them as they are and then put the top slice on and squish it down a bit Boomerwang

I also love an egg mayo sandwich with crisps in.

My favourite would be chicken flavour or cheese & onion or frazzles, on white bread.
But I want to try one of those Scottish rolls that ginky mentioned.

Am liking mixing it up with egg mayo. Yum
