Help me find a name...

...for my uterus, with whom I have ambivalent relationship.

She did manage to carry four children to term (between miscarriages) for which I'm very grateful. However, she is now becoming awkward and rather difficult to live with.

She is larger than average (she has been described as "bulky"), and is spongy (due to adenomyosis). She can be a (literally) a bit of a pain most days, and sometimes a lot of a pain. She sometimes burns and sometimes swells up. She does not like having a coil in, and will wring herself in knots to try to get rid of it.

At some point she is probably going to have to go, but this might not be for a while.

One of my methods for dealing with illness / pain is humour, and I feel that it might be helpful to name her.

I'm open to suggestions. I'd like to avoid giving her the same name as any close relatives or friends, to avoid confusion.

Ulanda the uterus

Ulfrida, since she sounds like a bit of a battleaxe

My friend had a heamorroid (?) we called Harriet so we could discuss her in public!!
How about Ulricka??

TheFirstOHN · 04/02/2019 15:48

I was wondering about naming her after Delphyne (pictured) as the name comes from an ancient Greek word for womb, but the name might be too pretty-sounding for her character.

Sybil? (Cantankerous middle aged lady, as in Fawlty Towers?)

TheFirstOHN · 04/02/2019 16:17

I do like Sybil. My uterus is fawlty, after all.
