My sleep pattern is seriously messed up . I really struggle to get to sleep and like tonight, if I do manage to get to sleep , I can't stay asleep.

I've tried a relaxing bath before bed, lavender on my pillow, listening to meditation you tube clips , hot milk , going to bed earlier , going to bed later . It's driving me mad !
I'm 54 and going through the menopause, night sweats seem to be diminishing thank god but I just can't sleep, I'm getting by on about 2-3 continuous hours a night.
I guess a trip to the gp is in order.

Just wanted to wave! Currently sat downstairs eating rice pudding because I have a 9 month old who wakes hourly still and a husband who has inexplicably started snoring.
I find that if I'm not asleep in about 45 minutes/1 hour I get up eat something then go back to bed.
Try an audio book I've listened to Harry Potter a million times.

Failing that Dr prescribed me 3.5mg if Zopiclone when I was at my worst and not sleeping at all. It did just enough to help me get to sleep but I was still alert enough to wake for the baby.

Hope you sleep soon I'm off for attempt three in a second

I had a short term prescription of zopiclone - it didn't touch me Sad.

Maybe somethig else might help zopivlone was my lifesaver.

You need to listen to a book you've heard or read over and over again. I've reread Harry Potter far more than I should admit to so the audio book feels comforting and familiar. If it was a new book or one I'd only read once id want to listen.
I hope you get some sleep tonight!

Im struggling to sleep at the moment as well. Tried the bath before bed, no screens for an hour before bed. Anything and everything.and i cant seem to drop off before 3 at the earliest. Its incredibly frustrating isn't it!

Now I'm not suggesting the exact same program but have you considered having something on very low in the background on TV? I personally use Forensic Files but realise murder might not soothe everyone to sleep Grin Maybe a comedy you like that you can listen to instead of watch, if that makes sense? So you drop off in the background?

I feel for you Flowers

@sneakygremlins - a person after my own heart ! I listen to murder trials on YouTube . Have a look at the Jodie Arias murder trial , its fascinating Grin
