Same sex siblings, what ages would you stop bathing them together? (3 years apart, no objections from either).

we stopped at about 3&6 yo.
they were starting to be much too messy at that age

VenusClapTrap · 03/02/2019 18:44

I encourage them to have separate baths now, but they still leap in together given half a chance. 8 and 6, opposite sex.

rainflowerstar · 03/02/2019 18:45

Eldest was 7. Much easier to let them take separate baths.

Chilledout11 · 03/02/2019 18:47

I'd just keep them together as long as possible. Lots of fun

ForeignnessAlert · 03/02/2019 19:34

I was wondering this today as DS(9) and DD(7) were in the bath together. ASD, so I'm not sure would "feel uncomfortable" with it or know (how to express) the emotion if they did. It is practical, but I wonder if I should enforce separate bath times in the summer holidays. Only just got eldest to agree to close the door when he's on the loo 🙄

When they got cross with each other for taking up too much space!

babysharkah · 03/02/2019 19:36

Bit odd there's two threads next to each in active shut the same thing

Justmeagain123 · 03/02/2019 19:38

@babysharkah no conspiracy here, it's bathtime in this house and got me thinking. Mine are 8 and 5 and was just thinking tonight is it too old, eldest looks so big in the bath now!

Mine never got uncomfortable with it, they’re 10 and 7 now - but they’re not allowed as they make far too much mess.

Showers on their own otherwise the bathroom would flood and they’d spend the better part of an hour in there...

My two are almost 9 and 7 same sex and still sharing i keep thinking they are getting too old but they enjoy the company and help wash each other's hair.
