"Unmasked: The cruel trolls who spew bile against the Duchess of Sussex on social media, branding her a 'hooker' and 'trash'... and call for #Megxit"

Is this the start of trolls being held to account for their postings?

I think people should be allowed to say what they want usually but some of the comments about Meghan were awful to read. Maybe this will make people think about what they are typing before they post it for the world to see.

BusterTheBulldog · 03/02/2019 14:37

Surely the DM is the biggest troll of her though?

justasking111 · 03/02/2019 14:42

I think this is twitter that is being exposed rather than newspapers like the DM.

But supposing a law was brought in to address some of the comments put up everywhere that are threatening. Google etc. are being held to account so why not the media? Racism, homophobic comments are supposed to be an offence. I have seen Meghan racist leaning comments.

I cannot insult a person in RL with a racist comment why should an insult on the internet be excluded from this?

I think they should be held to account.

The comments are disgusting.
