People keep telling me I should visit Savers. It's full of bargains. I've never been and wondered if anyone has bargain buys?

It's the cheapest place I have found for cleaning products. Things like Fairy dishwasher tablets are sometimes half the price of what they are in Sainsburys and Tesco.

Sparklingbrook · 03/02/2019 09:43

It's a great shop., and very cheap.
Branded products a lot cheaper than elsewhere.

Yeah it’s cheap.

Horrible place to work though

My ex manager used to call them Slavers.

justaweeone · 03/02/2019 09:45

I believe it's owned by the same company as Superdrug
I often 'pop to Savers' 😆

It is. Staff get discount at Superdrugs but not at savers

Jackshouse · 03/02/2019 09:49

I used to love Savers but ours closed down.

NatashaRomanov · 03/02/2019 09:53

It is an awful place to work.
Usualy pretty cheap, though not always the cheapest. B&M is sometimes cheaper, and Superdrug and Boots can ofteb beat Savers prices when they have offers on.

treaclesoda · 03/02/2019 09:53

They are one of the very worst companies for hassling you when you are paying to take some other item that is on offer. I feel sorry for the staff.

Yep. We actually got a discipline if we wasn’t heard pushing sales of special offers.

Even record of improvements if you didn’t sell enough

Sparklingbrook · 03/02/2019 09:58

I am always ready for it, and just say no thanks. TBF once I did take them up on their dishwasher tablets deal at the till, it was a great offer.

B&M cashiers also do it (usually with chocolate) and Superdrug (which now makes sense as they are connected to Savers).

seizethecuttlefish · 03/02/2019 11:12

Thanks all. I'll watch for the hard sell.
Sounds a hellish place to work!

I get almost all my household & bathroom in savers. Big bottles of shower gel for a pound, sanitary towels/tampons for 89p, soap pods for under a fiver. I work a few doors along from one and pop in at least twice a week.

Huge staff turnover though, not surprised to hear they are hellish to work for.
