What did you do for your 30th?

I'm turning 30 in May and need some ideas for what to do. Nothing as big as a holiday! I could have a child free day on my actual birthday and then a night as well. I'd love a spa day but also think maybe something different. So please tell me what you got up to on your 30th

We splashed out on a curry. We were proper skint, the curry was very outlandish for us back then.

Realised I needed to get a divorce. Worst night out over. X booked something he liked, transport by bus meant no dinner, fell asleep and only woke up at a loud noise. It could have looked like I was so engrossed I jumped but I definitely wasn't.

Don't do what I did

We did 3 days on the extreme cheap in Venice. €50 Ryanshit flights, cheap hotel but actually very very good! Ate street food, wandered around ev-ery-where, took a ton of beautiful photos, saw a wedding and watched the bride and groom trying to get into a boat!

We were pre-dc.

I think if it were now, something special but not costly, would be a night in a hotel somewhere I hadn't been : York, Bath, Ely, Cambridge have a wander, visit a museum, have a pub lunch, avoid all shops!

Went to new York it was amazing
on the actual day went to the peaks and had a yummy tea

Went out on the lash in London with friends. Someone got me a feather boa as one of my b.day presents, so I wore it and felt bonkers! (Did have other clothes on as well! I'm just not naturally a feather boa kind of a person)

Went to London to watch an amazin band, was perfect

I’m planning on going away for a child free night with spa treatments, champagne and nice food. Just want to relax and feel spoilt but not spend too much money.

My dh and family organised a surprise birthday party for me. I thought I was being taken for a meal, it was the best surprise . Loved it.

Oh should mention I'm single lol. Also going to see olly murs and pink in June as presents from parents

We had a family Sunday lunch with our parents, siblings, and children.

Nothing ☹ so I'm going to make up for it this year (I'll be 31 in may)

Had a massive fancy dress party! I was wonder woman - the theme was Children's Childhood Heroes. Everyone made a huge effort and it was bloody brilliant. But I didn't have kids at that point...

For my 40th my parents looked after my 3 year old and I went to NYC with 3 best friends.

I went to Whipsnade zoo for the day.

Best birthday present was 6year old DS being dry for the whole day (SN and had been in nappies until a week before)

Went to Barcelona for the weekend with my then boyfriend and another couple. Had a lovely weekend despite ending up having a row with my BF on my actual birthday.

Went to a posh restaurant with DH and spent the whole time feeling nauseous because of morning sickness. I remember going outside after the starter for some fresh air and thinking “I’m sure other people have more fun 30th birthdays than this.”

No idea. It was only 6 years ago but I have no memory of it, so can't have been very exciting.

A trip back home and a night out with friends. Had not long had dc so dh stayed in with my parents and I had a night in a hotel, with meal, drinks and clubbing with friends. Dh and I did something another night.
