Just watching Prince of Egypt for the nine millionth time. I have loved it since it’s release when I was 7 years old and know it word for word! I can’t imagine I will ever get bored of it. Does anyone else have a film like this?

I don’t, I never watch anything more than once. I find it strange to watch when you know what will happen.

Bigdreams · 02/02/2019 16:57

Dirty Dancing

BartonHollow · 02/02/2019 16:57

Easily Dirty Dancing but if the Colin Firth Pride and Prejudice Series counted it'd be that

When I was younger I loved 80s movies (actually it was the 80s so...). I must have seen 16 Candles and Weird Science at least a dozen times each. Now they seem rather unpleasant to women / rapey. I have a 12 yo DD and not sure I’d show them to her.

kazwelch · 02/02/2019 17:05

Love Stardust, Dirty Dancing, Grease, Star Wars films.

Mamarsupiel · 02/02/2019 17:05

Prometheus. I watch it about every two months

Watto1 · 02/02/2019 17:06

The Commitments. Best film ever! Also love Cool Runnings.

Dard · 02/02/2019 17:06

All the Godfather films

MrsJayy · 02/02/2019 17:07

80s films were not that kind to women their seemed to be a whole genre aimed at boys/men I watched Big last Christmas and i turned inside out with the cringe!

Dowser · 02/02/2019 17:11

Probably love actually
seemed to miss it this Christmas
Bridget Jones always seems to be on a loop
Pretty woman
Officer and a gentleman
But it’s more that I just seem to catch them when they are on

Mother87 · 02/02/2019 17:13

Titanic/Love Actually/The Holiday (Jude at his fiiiinest imoBlush)

Grumpbum123 · 02/02/2019 17:14

Big Stan. We have no taste here

HalfBloodPrincess · 02/02/2019 17:17

Avengers assemble.

If it’s one I’ve been forced to watch it’s a toss up between Disney sleeping beauty (dd) or Thomas and the magic railway (ds)

whiteroseredrose · 02/02/2019 17:19

Moonstruck and Peggy Sue Got
Married. Kill Bill

n0ne · 02/02/2019 17:20

Ghostbusters, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings (FotR) - seen them all dozens of times, never get sick of them

Sparklingbrook · 02/02/2019 17:22

St Elmo's Fire.

I do agree though that the first time you see a film is the best. Because you don't know what will happen. After that it's never as good.

RedHatsDoNotSuitMe · 02/02/2019 17:23

Rocky Horror Picture Show
and
Truly, Madly, Deeply

Love both those films so much.

Also seen Grease and DD many times. And Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (I do/did love Alan Rickman - RIP Sad)

IamFrauBlucher · 02/02/2019 17:25

Silence of the Lambs. I watch it at least weekly on my phone in bed.

Also 8MM.

Myranium · 02/02/2019 17:25

The original Star Wars trilogy. I've no idea how many times I've seen them but it's certainly a lot! I must have been tiny when I first saw them as I've no recollection of a time when I hadn't seen them.

I treasured the battered old VHS tapes my parents had used to record the films off the TV then swapped to the only marginally better versions that came with the 2004 "Special Edition" DVD releases which has since been the only option for watching the theatrical versions.

I finally got hold of Harmy's Despecialised Editions recently and they're absolutely glorious, the closest thing I'll ever get to seeing them for the first time again.
