Old £50 notes

I just found out 3 £50 notes stacked away ( Birthday money from 8 years ago) , but DP says they are not valid anymore. Does anyone know how can I exchange this to valid notes? Can I go to any bank to do this?

I'd just go the bank and ask. My Grandad missed the deadline and managed to exchange some 20's but only missed by a few months.

The Bank of England in London by Bank station will change it for you. It's been so long now since the changeover that I doubt any other bank would do it but the BOE has an obligation to
