There's probably absolutely nothing anyone can say to reassure me until I have a scan on Monday but....
I had two bleeds yesterday where clots and fresh blood fell into to toilet. It stopped in between but still feel scared we've lost our little one after 5.5yrs of trying 😥
Would love to hear from any mums who have been through similar

I had loads and loads of bleeding at just before 11 weeks. Heavier than my heaviest ever period. When it started, it was so heavy that 111 said to go to A&E. Thrn i got sent to maternity. They scanned, saw a heartbeat and a massive haematoma. The heavy bleeding lasted for a couple of days then continued bleeding for a couole of weeks after that but it slowed down a lot.

My son was born at 39+5 and totally oblivious to all the stress!

I'll have everything crossed for you. Hope scan goes well.

Stay away from Google btw. Google is not your friend. I drove myself mad with worry googling.

Thank you xxx That's good to hear. They had no space for a scan over the weekend so waiting it is. I had no cramps or pain during the bleeds so I'm trying to reassure myself with that. It was the clots that freaked me out.
Yes Google is bad isn't it?! I'm trying my best to steer clear. At the end of the nothing can say what a scan will. Thank you xx

My bleeding was so heavy that i went through a pad every hour or so. There's no way I could have imagined things were going to be okay.

Hope all goes okay on Monday and you have a really boring and uneventful rest of your pregnancy! Xx

I had painless bleeding with clots early in my pregnancy. Absolutely terrifying but mine was caused by a cervical erosion, which is harmless and common in pregnancy due to the changes in hormones. A small amount of blood can look like a lot in the toilet bowl. I'm currently sitting waiting for my newborn to wake up for a feed. He was born a bit early, but is doing fine and it was not related to the bleeding.

Could you pay for a private scan over the weekend if that might alleviate your concerns? Hope all is OK, keeping everything crossed for you.

I had bleeding at 11 weeks with DC1 and she has recently turned 13. With DC 2 I had bleeding at 7 weeks and again at 12 weeks. The only time we found a reason for the bleeding was at 12 weeks with DC2, when like PickleSarnie a large haematoma was found and I bled for 2 weeks whilst it dissipated. Both children were carried to term but I remember at the time of the bleeding being scared to cough or sneeze.

A good friend was hospitalised for several days with severe bleeding just past 12 weeks. Her wee girl is now 18 months old.

As hard as it is not to worry, do try not to. There can be bleeding in pregnancy and still a healthy baby at the end.

Thank you ladies. It's good to hear there are so many reasons why it could happen other than the worst. I'll keep you posted xx

I've had it the Dr said he couldn't do anything for me but he said look I've had women sitting in pools of blood and I've sent them off to epu with a heavy heart and as an emergency Dr im never going to see them again TWO woman recently walked through my doors and introduced me to their babies after bleeding so much it looked hopeless

Today's the big day, 10.30 to be precise. Thank you for your encouragement over the weekend. It's given me reasons to hope. I will post again later once we know more. Thank you all again xx

Hope you get good news today. I’ve had this in 2/3 pregnancies, both times starting between 11-13 weeks. Couldn’t have believed I was still pregnant but was a haematoma both times and baby was fine.

Fluffyears · 04/02/2019 09:16

My boss had bleeding at 10 weeks. Her daughter is 12. They said it was a small part of the uterine lining coming away similar to a period, bleeding canbe any number of things and I really hope in your case it’s nothing awful.

CornGirl123 · 04/02/2019 10:19

Fingers crossed for good news for you

I had bleeding in my first and second trimester with my first pregnancy. It happened on three and four occasions and every time we rushed to the hospital for checkups. Unfortunately it always seemed to happen when we were away for a weekend so we got to visit different hospitals. Eventually it was discovered that I had a polyp. Once it was removed I had no problems and my second pregnancy was uneventful. I could have done without the scares though.

cjt110 · 04/02/2019 15:07

Great news. I had a bleed at what we thought was 6 weeks. had a scan a week later and was 8+4. DS is now a strapping 4 year old.

southnownorth · 04/02/2019 15:10

Brilliant news. I bled lots through pregnancy, mine was cervical erosion from all the hormone changes.

Wishing you all the best!!
