Any Army Moms around?

My youngest DS is leaving for the Army next week, he's 23 but still at home, he's the last one to leave.

I'm part so proud of him, part sad he's leaving home and part worried that it's the Army!

Anyone got DC in the Army and can tell me this is normal and the worry settles down

There is a Forces’ Sweethearts section on here - it is more for spouses of people in the forces, but I think you might find more knowledgeable people there.

It’s here

Hi, my Ds1 has been in the army for 1.5 years, he's almost 18.
It was tough at first(I cried, a lot!) but we are all used to it now. Now our youngest (15) is talking about signing up Shock
It's a great lifestyle for them and my perspective of the army has changed so much since our oldest joined.
Send me a PM if you like. You'll get used to it; knowing he is happy helps a lot. Good luck to your son Smile
