How do you 'name change' on here?

I see lots of people saying that they change their name here every so often, but I thought in order to do that I'd have to create a completely new account. Is there another way?

I found out today that someone I know in real life is on here and I've posted some family related stuff here before that, to anyone who actually knows me, would be very identifying.
It's nothing bad, it's just that said friend (neighbour actually) falls into the category of 'nosey gossip' and since I'd rather not have the entire neighbourhood knowing my business .....

Click on My Mumsnet (top right if in a web browser), then settings and simply type a new choice in the username field.

You’ll need to input your password to do as DadDadDad said. Then, when you’re writing a post, you can use whichever name you have chosen by just writing the name in the username box above the post you’re writing. So if you’ve saved several names into your profile (a drop box shows you username history) you can use any of them. Your default name is what will appear unless you change it when writing a post or you can change it permanently in the Your mumsnet profile.
