Query about offers on Tesco delivery

What happens if they can't fulfil a multi purchase discount?

E.g. I've ordered a lot of method at 3 for £6 but don't think they'll have some of the items. Some are £4 each so if they only have 2 then it wouldn't be a bargain.

I've selected no substitutes but am a novice at this & don't want to look foolish when the delivery arrives! There was no option to not receive partial deals!

Normally they would substitute for another item which is part of the offer, I think.

If you select no substituted then I'm not sure whether they give you what they do have and charge full price (which might be more expensive than the offer) or cancel it all.

Do you know you can specify within the notes? So you could say what you want to happen.

Aha, I didn't know that - thanks. The t&cs in the email suggest I can get a refund if necessary.

I tried online groceries about 10 years ago & had such ridiculous subs that it put me off until now!

You’ll get an email before delivery so you’ll be able to see what they’ve done.

If they’ve only sent part of the offer and charge you full price you can just give the stuff back to the driver and they will refund you.

They had it all, whoop whoop! Faith in grocery delivery resumed!
